VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
The assessor qualification for anyone teaching or training a practical subject, with role play and real assessing at the academy.

- A qualification in the subject you want to teach.
This qualification, often called the CAVA, replaces the old D32 and A1 assessor awards. You need it to teach or train in a practical subject where students are assessed on their competence.
It is hands-on rather than a long online course, with plenty of practical work at the academy. If you also want to teach, pair it with the Award in Education and Training.

How it runs
Day one covers the theory of assessment and day two the practical. On both days you work on your assignment and practise assessing through role play, on Teams or at the academy, then assess real students and complete your portfolio at the academy.
